About me

Lost in space
Art is my ‘passion’ and I have been painting seriously for over 16 years. I enjoy painting animals and will do pet commissions to order. I also enjoy working in ink but will use any medium as long as I can achieve what I want in the end.

I am so grateful that I have been given this gift and it will always play a large part in my life.

I was born in Little Paxton in 1948, but lived in Kennington in London until the age of seven. I then moved to Loughton in Essex, North Weald, Haddenham & Sutton finally settling in Doddington in 1998. I was a keen artist during my time at Lucton Girls Secondary Modern School & earned a Grade One in O level Art but it wasn't until later years, in 1994, that I pursued my creative passion. I am a self taught artist working in different media—wax, acrylic, glass paint, ink, pastel & mixed media—pushing each to it's fullest potential. I feel that working this way keeps my work fresh & exciting. I have a strong love of colour which can be seen in many of my paintings but can then go to the other extreme depending on my mood & certain things beyond my control. It is this which makes art so enjoyable for me & pushes me forward to produce more & more work. My work is hung in private collections throughout America, Cuba & Holland as well as in the UK.
